Dormitories

I don't like the maxis dorms much. Also my system is a bit slow, so I don't even try to play the 14 room dorms. However, I DO like the MAXIS houses. I've converted 2 big MAXIS houses into dormitories. The outside may look the same as the original ones, but I've redone most of the interior so that it will function as a dorm. Must admit that the inspiration came from my own years in dorm life. We called it a res (residence) and it was the home of some long dead governor or aristocrat in Cape Town that was converted to a dorm for about 30 of us.



I've tested copies of these in game. You only need UNI for these lots to work. Only MAXIS content used.

Ochre Dorm

This dorm sits on a 3x2 lot. Added to the garden is a small pond in front and a pool in the back. The ground floor has the living room, kitchen and dining area. These dining tables double up as study area. There's also a bass guitar for your musical sims and a small bathroom. Top floor has the 4 dorm rooms and 2 bathrooms.

Old Farm House Dorm

This dorm sits on a 3x3 lot. Added to the garden is a small pond in front and a pool in the back. The ground floor has the living room, kitchen and dining area. These dining tables double up as study area. There's also a piano for your musical sims and a small bathroom. The first floor has the 4 dorm rooms and his/hers bathrooms. Top floor has 2 more dorm rooms, bathroom and a lounge with a mini bar fridge.

I wish I could've been there. It just seems like it'll look even better in person; all those curves. What did you think about the size of the home? Everyone always talks about how low and short it feels.
